New and Transfer Student Orientation and Registration

Welcome NEW and TRANSFER students! One of the most exciting journeys of your life- your undergraduate experience is about to begin, and we are delighted that you have chosen to share this experience with us. Our administration, faculty, staff and students look forward to meeting you this August. 

Orientation is a two day introduction to the Dawson community, including academics and residence life! During orientation, you will meet your student ambassadors, your academic adviser, Residence Life Staff and the rest of the Dawson Community. You will get to register for your fall courses, move into Student housing, and get to know other new students. By the time classes begin, our hope is that you are excited about being at DCC as we are to have you in our community!

DCC staff and faculty provide a mandatory orientation to introduce new and transfer students with the policies and organization of the school. Placement tests, campus information sessions,  group advising  and an all campus housing meeting are some of the events that take place during Orientation.
