Dawson Community College is hosting a Welding and Oil and Gas Symposium to provide an opportunity for business owners and operators to learn about and offer input on current and future programs and training offerings designed to meet workforce needs.
The symposium will be held on May 28, beginning at 8:00 a.m., in the Toepke Center Auditorium. This is a no-cost event and sessions include participation in welding and oil in gas through RevUp Montana (www.revupmontana.com), workforce training, and corrosion. There will be open discussions for those in attendance to provide input on the information they’ve received. Lunch will be provided.
Guest speakers include workforce navigators from around the state for RevUp Montana, DCC administration and staff, Paul Hopfauf, District Manager for Montana Dakota Utilities, Bobbi Laine, retired Dean of Moraine Park Technical College in Wisconsin, and Steve Wiens, Director of Title V Grant, which allowed for the start of the Corrosion Technology program at Seward County Community College in Kansas.
